FindAPhD.com is a unique site with a database of potential PhD projects listing opportunities from departments throughout the UK and mainland Europe. Each project is described in good detail, as we allow up to 300 words in addition to references, keywords and subject areas.
All projects must have an assigned supervisor, and they are valid for 12 months, during which they can be modified on-line anytime, either by individual supervisors (own project only) or departmental administrators (all projects) via our Administrator Control Panel.
Studentships & Eligibility
FindAPhD caters for all types of studentships, whether they are project-specific, or in competition across a number of possible projects within a department or school. We have a variety of funding status symbols which can be used to flag projects/profiles depending on their eligibility. We also offer a flag to attract self-funded students if required. How does the site work?
As you can see from the flowchart (right), adding your projects to the database is a very straight-forward process using our on-line forms. Initially, all we require is some brief information about your department/school, and the details of each supervisor who is to be allocated a project space. We then set up the blank project spaces for you to fill out when you login. Simple!

Important note: Only one research project can be described in a single project space on the site. If a supervisor has more than one potential project to advertise, they must take out additional slots.

How much does it cost?
The rates for project space on the site offer very good value compared with more traditional forms of advertising, especially when you consider the level of detail allowed (300 words per entry). Prices start at just 80 GBP/120 EURO to register your department and add a project (valid for 12 months), and our sliding payment scale means you can add all projects within a department at a discounted rate. In addition, all registered lead supervisors on FindAPhD.com may advertise post-doctoral positions free of charge on our sister site FindAPostDoc.com.
How can I pay?
There are two options. We can invoice you for the full amount, or you can pay by credit card (telephone ringback service to collect your card details). |
