Excellent postgraduate research degree (PhD) opportunities in a leading department

A number of fully-funded 3- or 4-year PhD studentships are available to outstanding and highly motivated graduates, with good honours or Masters degrees in relevant disciplines.  Projects in statistics, epidemiology, human genetics, bioinformatics, mathematical modelling, econometrics, economics, sociology, and psychology, applied to public health, medical and/or clinical issues are encouraged.

Research areas are broad and include: quantitative and qualitative health services research; statistical methods; genetic methods; aetiological, genetic, molecular, lifecourse, clinical, nutritional, cardiovascular, infectious disease, suicide, respiratory, neurological, endocrinological and cancer epidemiology; effectiveness, efficiency and acceptability of health services/care; public health improvement research (smoking, alcohol, sexual health, physical activity, emotional wellbeing); and children and young people's health.
