The Department of Economics at the University of Warwick invites applications for full-time postgraduate research fellowships in economics, beginning in academic year 2007-08.
Fellowships will be awarded to research students currently registered or due to enrol on the MPhil/PhD Economics within the Department in October 2007.

The Department of Economics at Warwick is one of the leading research and education centres in economics in the UK . The Department consists of about 50 full professors (or equivalent), plus other members of academic and research staff. The MPhil/PhD programme is a four-year degree course, and involves a first year of taught modules in advanced macro- and microeconomics and econometrics, plus optional modules, followed by three years of supervised research.

The Award
Fellowship holders will receive an annual bursary of £11,254 in the MPhil year, followed by £10,209 in each subsequent year of the award. They will also receive an annual teaching salary of £1,046 in the MPhil year, followed by £2,091 in each subsequent year of the award. They will also receive payment of fees at the Home/EU rate (currently £3,168). The award is tenable for up to four years.
There is a teaching obligation of up to 55 hours class teaching or equivalent in the MPhil year, followed by 110 hours in subsequent years of the award. Duties will include teaching, marking and student support roles related to specific undergraduate modules. |
