German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases

Our mission is to research into the causes and possible cure/prevention of neurodegenerative disorders. The fields of research include the major neurodegenerative diseases, Alzheimer's and other dementias and Parkinson's disease, but also rare conditions such as prion or Huntington's disease. The core of DZNE research is to translate fundamental discoveries into clinical applications and to link advanced clinical and population studies to molecular mechanism of disease pathogenesis. DZNE research will also involve aspect of public health.
