Departments at the University of Southampton


We have 6 closely-connected campuses in the city of Southampton, 1 in the nearby city of Winchester in the south of the UK. We also have 1 in Malaysia and 1 in Delhi, India.

Both Southampton and Winchester are student cities, with plenty of green spaces and good public transport. There is plenty to discover, including exploring the local history, enjoying the nightlife and enjoying the local countryside and coast. There are plenty of good local schools and other family friendly facilities. PhD students can enjoy all student facilities, including the newly redeveloped sports centre on Highfield Campus, and access 24-hour support from the student hub.
