MIBTP's focus on interdisciplinary bioscience, quantitative biology, and cutting-edge technology platforms sets the stage for a transformative learning experience. Our students gain proficiency in investigating biological questions across disciplinary boundaries, utilising state-of-the-art techniques, and mining large-scale datasets.

The MIBTP journey begins with an initial 12 weeks of interactive training in quantitative bioscience skills, followed by two 12-week research projects. As part of the four-year PhD programme, students also embark on a 12-week professional placement, as well as advanced training, ensuring a well-rounded and dynamic training experience. Our graduates emerge as mature, skilled, and high-achieving individuals, ready to excel in their careers.

We welcome applications from excellent students worldwide with biology, chemistry, or physical sciences backgrounds. Successful applicants will be creative and motivated to engage in interdisciplinary research. Choose your path by indicating a preference for specific projects during the application process or explore diverse research themes before making your final project choice once you complete the first year of training.
