The University of Liverpool is pleased to invite applications for postgraduate funding (master’s and PhDs) for programmes commencing in October 2018, funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) via the North West Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership (NWSSDTP).
Applications are invited from the following subject areas:

- Economic and Social History;
- Economics;
- Educational Research;
- Geography and Environment;
- Health and Wellbeing;
- Language Based Area Studies;
- Linguistics;
- Planning and Environment;
- Politics;
- Psychology;
- Social Anthropology;
- Social Statistics;
- Social Studies of Science, Technology and Medicine;
- Socio-legal Studies;
- Sociology.
The North West Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership (NWSSDTP) is one of fourteen DTPs in the UK, created by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC). The NWSSDTP comprises the Universities of Keele, Liverpool, Lancaster and Manchester and provides master's and PhD students with access to funding and quality research training in social science disciplines. Students will have access to research expertise across Liverpool, Keele, Manchester and Lancaster.
The NWSSDTP is an extension of the ESRC NWDTC, which funded studentships between 2011 - 2016.
