Cancer Research 4 Year PhD Studentships 2017

The Cancer Research UK Manchester Institute offers excellent laboratory facilities, underpinned by outstanding core facilities, including molecular biology services, next generation sequencing, real-time PCR, mass spectrometry, flow cytometry, histology, advanced imaging and a biological resources unit. This is an excellent opportunity to be at the forefront of cutting edge research funded by the largest independent cancer research charity in the world.

We have 6 projects on offer in 2017 spanning the whole spectrum of cancer research in the following CRUK Manchester Institute groups;

Cancer Inflammation and Immunity
Cell Division
Leukaemia Biology
Molecular Oncology
RNA and Computational Biology
Systems Oncology

Applications are invited from exceptionally high calibre students – recent graduates or final year undergraduates who have, or are expected to obtain a first or upper second class honours degree and who are highly committed to pursuing a PhD in cancer research.

Studentships are fully funded for 4 years commencing October 2017. Cancer Research UK sponsorship includes generous stipend, tuition and bench fees. Students trained within our research groups will matriculate from the University of Manchester.
