The IDEAS network, a unique collaboration of major European universities

The IDEAS network (www.ideas-itn.eu), a unique collaboration of major European universities, the pharmaceutical industry, and consulting companies working on statistical methods to improve early stage drug development, is currently seeking applications for early stage researchers to join the network. Network researchers will be based at one of the partner institutions and work closely with other network members. These three-year posts include a generous salary (according to the EU rules for Marie-Curie ITN) - plus a mobility allowance of € 600 / month (if applicable also a monthly family allowance) together with a comprehensive training package. You will be working on one of the projects of the network (see http://www.ideas-itn.eu for a detailed description of the available projects together with the hosting institutions) and will be expected to join a PhD programme in the field of Statistics, Mathematics or similar. Intended starting date for these positions is October 2015.


Eligibility:

Early-Stage Researchers will, at the time of recruitment by the host organisation, be in the first four years (full-time equivalent research experience) of their research careers and not yet have been awarded a doctoral degree.

At the time of recruitment by the host organisation, researchers must not have resided or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the country of their host organisation for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately prior to the reference date.

Applicants should have a masters degree in Mathematics, Statistics or equivalent field. If a relevant master's degree is currently being undertaken, it must be completed before January 2016.
