King’s College London Dental Institute offers fantastic PhD opportunities in dentistry and oral science. With more than 70 principal investigators, the Dental Institute has one of the largest, most influential teams of researchers in the world and was responsible for over a third of the internationally excellent dental research in the UK (2008 RAE). Key to our research strength is the wide range of internationally renowned academics in the fields of oral science and dentistry.

Our PhD students thrive on producing the highest quality research, much of which links directly with our allied hospitals,
King's College, and Guy's and St Thomas's. The formal link of these organisations into King’s Health Partners greatly facilitates the increasing demand for translational research.
