Current Funding Opportunities 

MBS Doctoral Studentships

These studentships are for candidates commencing full-time doctoral programme in Manchester Business School in September 2010. The awards offer up to four years funding, including tuition fees and a bursary. These are open to UK, EU and international students.

mIMP PhD Research Assistantships - Business Marketing and Supply Chain Management

The manchester Industrial Marketing and Purchasing Research Group (mIMP), Manchester Business School, is looking to recruit two research assistants to work with Professor Peter Naudé, Professor Stephan Henneberg and Professor Paul Cousins.

The positions are for four years, commencing September 2010. While no salary will be earned, the award covers full-time PhD programme tuition fees.

ESRC Studentships

Four ESRC studentships are available from September 2010 for either 1+3 (Masters + PhD) or +3 (PhD) scheme. These are funded for three or four years full-time, and cover tuition fees, research training support grant and a starting stipend of apprx £13,000 per year.

We are looking for highly motivated candidates who have a first class or upper second class degree and a Masters in a related discipline to pursue PhD studies in any area of research expertise within the School. Candidates who have not completed an ESRC-recognised research training masters course will be considered for 1+3 award. Successful 1+3 candidates are required to undertake one of the School's recognised masters courses, followed by three years doctoral research.

ESRC Studentships are available to candidates who are classified as Home student for tuition fee purposes.

PhD Studentships in Innovation Studies

The Manchester Institute of Innovation Research at the Manchester Business School offers two scholarships to undertake postgraduate research leading to a PhD within the project Understanding Public Procurement for Innovation. Supervisors will be Professor Jakob Edler (project lead), Professor Luke Georghiou (project lead) and Dr Elvira Uyarra.

EPSRC DTA PhD Studentship - Evaluating User Experience and Engagement

PhD studentship under the supervision of Prof Alistair Sutcliffe and Dr Antonella De Angelli to advance fundamental understanding about how people make judgements of product quality, in particular, for Interactive Technology products.
