The main aims of this project is to provide a comprehensive scientific analysis of crime data in order to make proposals for new anti-crime policies, taking into consideration several factors, including social and economic conditions. To this end, we have the following aims:
a) Proposing new causality analysis in the area of crime analysis,
b) Establishing a novel multivariate system that embraces multiple factors with different characteristics concurrently,
c) Reporting various qualitative and quantitative analyses for different categories of crime and causation factors; for example analysis of the economic and social factors of crime in the UK,
d) Launching a new data library with specific characteristics of time series data.
This is an opportunity for an applicant with good statistical and mathematical background and econometrics skills to undertake a fully funded programme of study leading to a PhD.
