Funded PhD Project (Students Worldwide)

This research project aims at measuring the extent to which individuals lean on social channels to make decisions (Simon, 1993; Secchi, 2011). In so doing, the study will help companies better define roles and responsibilities among groups, teams, departments, and boards. Moreover, the study contributes to the assessment of how individual cognition is affected by organizational structure. The study provides management with additional tools to make better decisions thus improving efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. Another byproduct of this research is to provide a measure for how much individuals lean on social resources when they make decisions.
