About the Project

There is a market in the UK Europe and US for a robust service and methodology to ascribe economic values to proposed green infrastructure (GI) provision and to enable improved modelling and assessment of land-use change. There is a market opportunity to develop a product that brings together GI mapping and valuation (VAL).

This project will develop a sector-leading tool, GI-VAL, that will support decision making at all levels, initially for the UK and US markets where GI planning is most developed within policy. CFNW, in partnership with the University of Liverpool, are looking for an enthusiastic graduate with established research expertise in ecosystem services and green infrastructure and their economic valuation. Ideally you will have some technical expertise in GIS and or expert systems.

As a member of the Russell Group of major research-intensive universities, the University of Liverpool has an enviable international reputation for innovative research.

Our research collaborations extend worldwide and address many of the vital challenges of today, in medicine and veterinary science; technology; science; engineering and social and environmental sciences.

Following an impressive showing in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, we are attracting additional partners, researchers and funding that will enable us to continue our vital work.
