About the Project

Project Description

Satisfying customer needs by providing either appropriate products or services is a priority of a business. Traditionally, observation of customer behaviour is very limited due to limited documents and interactions with customers. With more and more customers shifting to online shopping a huge amount of consumer behaviour data is generated and captured. This provides various opportunities to analyse consumer behaviour through data mining, text mining, sentiment analysis, pattern recognition and web log mining. This project aims to explore customer needs through knowledge discovery in virtual communities and online shopping websites.

We are seeking a candidate with high interest in consumer behaviour and future technology trends, and knowledge in the areas of marketing / information systems / information management / computer sciences. Data analysis skills, data mining skills are highly desirable.
