About the Project

The project aims to depict and characterise the development of HRM practices in Chinese privately owned firms on how they manage people with regard to the core HR activities, i.e. recruitment and selection, training and development, etc.; on how these are different to the HRM practices operating in foreign firms; and on how they deal with the contemporary issues such as talent management and the management of organisational knowledge.

Entry requirements
A first class or upper second class U.K. BSc (Hons) degree (or equivalent). A Masters degree in a business/management related area with a research component (e.g. dissertation) is also desirable.

Eligibility
Applications can be accepted from UK/EU and also International students. The minimum English language proficiency requirement for candidates who have not undertaken a higher degree at a UK HE institution is IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum of 6.0 in all sub-areas).
