About the Project

Dr Tsai’s research program applies synthetic chemistry in combination with biochemical and genetic methods to unravel the roles of protein glycosylations. He also utilises genetic code expansion to introduce novel functional groups into protein of interest in bacteria or mammalian cells. This is a new and emerging field and offers rich opportunities for strongly motivated graduate

Applicants should have, or expect to obtain, a good honours degree (at least 2.1) or equivalent in chemistry, biochemistry or a related discipline. First-hand experience in a relevant area of chemistry such as synthetic chemistry, chemical biology, biochemistry or molecular biology is highly desirable. A self-starter with good interpersonal skills and a drive to succeed, you will be highly motivated and relish the opportunity to take a leading role in establishing this new research program.
