About the Project

Applications are invited for a PhD studentship funded by Loughborough University in London to start in October 2015. The project will be based in the Institute for Media and Creative Industries at Loughborough University in London.

The candidate will be working with Professor Toby Miller, Director of the Institute (see www.tobymiller.org). The principal foci of the studentship will be electronic waste or greenwashing culture, with an emphasis on theoretical questions, Latin America, the United States, or Europe.

The studentship is for 3 years and is intended to start in October 2015. The studentship provides a stipend of £13,863 per annum plus tuition fees at the UK/EU or International rate for up to three years.

Students will normally need to hold, or expect to gain, at least a 2:1 degree (or equivalent) in areas related to media or cultural studies within the social sciences or humanities. A relevant Master’s degree and/or experience will be an advantage.
