About the Project

The long-term negative outcomes for children and adults following child maltreatment has long been identified but in more recent years attention has been paid to why some individuals show adaptive, functional behaviour even following such events. This project is concerned with identifying factors inherent in that pattern of resilience, including coping styles and cognitive appraisals using an ecological approach.

Funding Notes

Self-funded. Applicants can also look for sources of external funding and/or apply for one of the Studentships offered across the College of Life and Environmental Sciences.
