About the Project

The molecular mechanisms underlying the transformation of osteoblasts Bone tumours in transgenic miceleading to bone tumour formation are not known. This project will focus on the role of FGF signalling in regulating both the growth of osteosarcoma cells and the control of metastatic behaviour of osteosarcoma cells using both murine and human tumour models. These studies are important for understanding both the origin of these tumours in addition to providing potential molecular targets for therapy.

Duration of project: 4 years
