Prof Chris Hardacre, Dr Johan Jacquemin  Applications accepted all year round  Funded PhD Project (UK Students Only)

About the Project

A studentship is available in the area of carbon capture and utilisation using ionic liquids. This is part of an EPSRC funded project together with the University of Sheffield, UCL and University of Manchester examining the design of ionic liquids for the absorption and activation of CO2 from anaerobic digester streams. The student will undertake characterisation and synthesis of the ionic liquid systems, modelling of their properties and utilisation of the chosen ionic liquids into small pilot scale apparatus. Only students from the UK are eligible for the position and a full stipend and fees will be available for 3 years.
