About the Project

Funded by the Hull York Medical School (HYMS), the successful candidate will become an active member of the Mental Health and Addictions Research Group based in the Department of Health Sciences.

Process for application

Applications should be received no later than 4 September 2014 before 4.00pm. Applicants should have an upper second or first class honours degree or equivalent; a Masters-level qualification would be an advantage.

Please also provide a curriculum vitae and two academic references. In addition, you should upload an outline of your intended approach to the project, noting the potential methods or approaches that could be used (up to 500 words in PDF format). If you have already published academic papers, one of these may also be uploaded.

Funding Notes

Award

The studentship is a 3-year studentships offering Annual Tuition Fees (£3,996 for 14/15 UK/EU rate) and an annual Maintenance Grant (£13,863 for 2014/15). Fees will increase annually in line with RCUK rates.

Overseas students will be expected to meet the cost of the difference between the UK/EU rate and the overseas rate (class-room based/lower rate); as a guide, information on 2014/15 rates is available at: www.york.ac.uk/study/postgraduate/fees-funding/fees-2014-2015/
