About the Programme

The Faculty of Arts at the University of Leeds invites applications for 12 fully-funded three-year scholarships for PhD study commencing October 2016. The awards will cover academic fees and a maintenance grant (£14,057 per annum in session2015/16) for full-time study, part-time will be pro-rata.

Three LARS will be awarded in each of the four Schools within the Faculty of Arts.

Eligibility

Outstanding scholars are encouraged to apply. They must meet the following criteria:
• applicants must have submitted a research degree application form and be in receipt of a student ID number
• applicants must have achieved at least an upper second class honours degree at undergraduate level
• applicants must not have already been awarded, or be currently studying for, a doctoral degree
• candidates whose first language is not English must meet the Faculty's English language requirements
