About the Project

We are seeking a highly motivated and career-oriented PhD or MD-PhD student to complement our research team at the Department of Biomedicine of the University Children’s Hospital in Basel/Switzerland. Potential candidates need to have a practical background in cellular and molecular biology, or biochemistry. Some experience in bioinformatics and/or animal experimentation is a plus. Our group functionally studies genetic alterations that are involved in the development, maintenance and relapse of childhood acute leukemia. The position will be enrolled in the joint PhD program of the DBM with the Biocenter of the University of Basel (phil. nat. faculty).

The Department of Biomedicine of the University of Basel hosts over 30 different research groups and offers an international stimulating and friendly atmosphere in an attractive city rich in culture located in the middle of Europe.
