The College of Social Sciences' outstanding research reputation attracts students from all over the world. We are proud of our innovative research that spans key social, legal, economic and political questions.

All of our research units were rated as nationally or internationally important in the last Research Assessment Exercise. Five gained the coveted '5' Grade (Accounting & Finance, Economic & Social History, Politics, School of Law and Urban Studies) with one department achieving the highest rating of 5* (Central & East European Studies).
