ESRC DTP question

I'm sure this has been answered before, but I haven't been able to find a definitive answer on the forum yet. Is it possible to apply for ESRC funding through two different DTP pathways. I'm currently applying in the South West, but an opportunity for me to apply in a London pathway has opened up, and if I can give myself a better chance of securing funding and more options I would like to do so but not if applying to multiple pathways would compromise my chances.

Has anyone been through this? How did it turn out and what is your advice?
