The nocturnal workers' thread
User: Appletini - 20 February 2010 00:58
Thanks! It's not going very well thus far, but I've no doubt that having 'Question Time' playing on iplayer is to blame for that... Hope you're faring better! x

I'm working late tonight too. Supervisory meeting Monday and family dinner Sunday means tonight and all tomorrow I'll be working. Probably Sunday morning and late night Sunday too. Have to switch from reading texts though, starting to nod off. Keep at it!

Is anyone working late tonight, because I am. Although I've made some progress so far, it's not as much as I would have liked.:-(

Hi there I just wanted to post on this as I am also a bit of a night owl at times on trying to study, I wish I could get up at 6am every morning and study right through the day but I always seem to end up starting after midnight, hence my posting at 7am. It easier at times to concentrate when the whole world is asleep.

Smelly sprouts indeed. I cut a massive chunk earlier and the descent in word count almost caused me to weep into my laptop. Tonight I seem to have worked my little brain to shreds and yet haven't gained a single word, just a page of (hopelessly inadequate) notes. In fact I#m pretty fried, I think it'll be one more tomato then off to bed. Good luck!

Anyone else up tonight, or am I riding the night train alone? (dear God don't let there be a guard like that one in Surrey who started showing me the porn on his phone).
I managed a pretty good day today but somehow still feel as if I haven't achieved enough. I'm finding it a real mental battle, rallying myself constantly throughout the day to keep going - and I've only just started the real writing. Still, I'm here and I WILL achieve more words before retiring for the night.

That sounds like a nice relief Chrisrolinski - enjoy (up) I've just done about 2 hours work and managed to do some paper searching, and write 300 words :) After a 14 hour day of work (unfortunately little of it thesis), i'm off to bed to prepare for another day of it tomorrow!
Good luck wally and angelofthenorth!

Crap, working late tonight as well. Need to be done by the end of the year, only halfway through my data collection, and so much to write. There'll be many more evenings like this one.

Not desperately nocturnal but having done 12 hours already today, I'm about to embark on another three hours. Knackered.
