The nocturnal workers' thread

Wish I had your resolve, but alas I'm knackered and need to be up early to go into my uni tomorrow. Good luck with getting your work done, Lara, and night night to everyone.

Must write chapter. Write.

Coffee. Coffee. Coffeeeeeee.

i have a panel in early Oct. too.... and having stared at this all day I am trying an allnighter to see if that sorts it out. It messes up all my human relations for the next two days so I hope it's worth it.

Just knockin' off for the night. I started at 9 am and haven't really stopped all day. But what a productive day. Makes up properly for yesterday's procrastination day nicely. Night all!

Back again. 00:05. Sigh. Coffee and Swedish indie music to keep my company.

Anybody else out there in the ether?

Hello Chris, I'll be joining the nocturnal workers' party scene tonight! What fun!:-)

User: 404 - 18 September 2008 00:34

hellooooooo

User: chrisrolinski - 18 September 2008 01:08

This is the best party I have ever been to, seriously :p

Kegger, kegger, kegger!!!!!

User: Lara - 18 September 2008 01:21

lol Chris,

i'm also jumping on the night train. feeling tired, so am literally lying down with my laptop half hanging off of me. with Maria Mckee singing in the background she has an amazing voice.

just want to finish off my chapter, so i can tick it off my wall planner! lol i'm not moving until its done, and then i gotta move onto the next one tonight. will have to take a coffee break between the two, a girl needs some reward and r&r!

User: walminskipeasucker - 18 September 2008 01:25

The only thing about this party is that it's a bit quieter than the usual ones I go to. And usually, I never usually dance to Up All Night With Rod Sharp on 5 Live. BTW, hope some coffee helps you Lara!

User: Lara - 18 September 2008 02:56

lol Wal, thanks.

this is the closest i get to socialising, lol. im such a hermit! i havent left my house in over a month i think! i feel like i'm in jail, and i literally cross off the days on my wall planner lol and look outside my window occassionally.

well folks, i'm going to have to get off the night train now. i just finished chapter 4 hurrah! its nearly 3am, and i'm going to hit the sack. i have no more energy to work. so i'm calling it a day.

good luck with the rest of you that are still awake and working!

User: chrisrolinski - 19 September 2008 00:32

Back again. Clocking in for the graveyard shift.

User: walminskipeasucker - 19 September 2008 00:39

Phew, thought I was partying alone tonight, Chrisrolinski! What's on your agenda, if you don't mind me asking? I'm doing lecture presentations for lessons I have next semester.

User: chrisrolinski - 19 September 2008 01:00

I'm writing a chapter and trying to make what is essentially a simple argument seem academically rigorous!! heh :$:p

Actually, I am curled up in bed writing. I always seem more productive at night.

Teaching! Eek - I need to prepare my first seminar soon.
