We’re pleased to announce that the applications for Postgrad Awards 2020 are open!

Here at FindAMasters & FindAPhD we want to reward people whose dedication, determination, and passion for their work is outstanding. Essentially, we want to give you a big ‘thumbs up’ for all your hard work. Nominate your peer, teacher, supervisor, department or institution now to win one of our awards, including a £500 cash prize for our student winners.

Award categories

  • Masters Student of the Year

Our Masters Student of the Year award will honour the individual Masters student who has demonstrated exceptional competence and curiosity in their studies. A student who is highly motivated, an independent learner, an excellent communicator, and has a real passion for their subject. Beyond their studies, this award also recognises a student’s work within the postgraduate community, and positive influence on their peers.

  • PhD Student of the Year

Our PhD Student of the Year award will recognise the individual PhD student who has become an excellent and inquisitive researcher. Beyond this, the award recognises a student who is an integral part of their research group and impacts the research community more widely. Maybe you know a PhD student whose hard work has led them to presenting their work internationally, or whose persistence and motivation is second to none.

  • Masters Teacher of the Year

Our Masters Teacher of the Year award aims to celebrate the individual who has created the most positive and encouraging learning environment, gives their students high-quality constructive feedback, is passionate about their subject, and always put the students first. The teachers who inspire students to think beyond the programme, and ultimately give their students an excellent foundation for their future careers.

  • PhD Supervisor of the Year

Our PhD Supervisor of the Year award is designed to reward the supervisors who go out of their way to give their PhD students the best possible academic experience. PhD supervisors who inspire their students to ask the big research questions, guide them with writing research papers, and introduce them to the most novel and current research techniques.

  • *NEW FOR 2020* Best PG Student Experience Initiative

Our Best PG Student Experience Initiative award is designed to reward the institutions, Graduate Schools, departments or faculties who have created a fantastic initiative resulting in positive experiences for their postgraduate community. The team receiving this award will be creating supportive and encouraging learning environments, motivating their students to reach their full potential, adding value and setting them up for their future career.
