Our team has been instrumental in reducing the number of cot deaths (SIDS or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome) in England & Wales by 90% over the last three decades.[1] The remaining 2-300 unexpected infant deaths per year show a marked inequality, largely coming from socio-economically deprived communities.
