The project aims to develop numerical framework which can be applied to various multiphase flow problems (gas-liquid, gas-liquid-solid, etc.) in engineering and scientific research fields such as energy, environment and manufacturing.
This project will apply advanced numerical methods to study a real-world ecological problem of high theoretical and practical importance, such as mechanisms of spatiotemporal pattern formation in ecological communities.
Assessing the condition of shallow buried urban infrastructure is challenging, e.g. buried pipes. However it is often the ground that supports this infrastructure that is key to its long-term performance.
