About the Award. For 2019-20, the Department of Law at Queen Mary, University of London, is offering a limited number of Graduate Teaching Assistantships (GTAs) to successful applicants to our PhD programme.
Project Description. We will develop novel theoretical frameworks using machine learning approaches to address catalytic efficiency and to establish molecular design principles to key design problems for new bio-inspired nanocatalysts.
This PhD project will investigate new approaches to manipulation & analysis of very heterogeneous chemical systems (‘mixed’ or ‘messy’ systems), working towards a more supramolecular approach (considering interactions between molecules, not just composition).
Our society has an increasing demand for the fuels, plastics, and other essential chemicals that support our modern way of life. This growing energy requirement is in direct competition with the need to better protect our environment to mitigate the ongoing climate change we are experiencing.
Fully-funded ‘Anniversary’ PhD scholarship (6 of 6). The Anniversary Scholarship offers an opportunity to undertake PhD research in the history of Liverpool John Moores University as it approaches its bicentenary in 2023.
