Non-invasive cardiac metabolism assessment using ultra-high field (7T) MR Spectroscopy

My group at the Oxford Centre for Clinical Magnetic Resonance Research (OCMR) is focused on development of new methods for cardiac metabolism assessment using magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS). Read more

Development and application of an in-silico model of liver function in health and disease.

This project aims to build on two previously successful PhD studentships supervised by Prof’s Bogle and Davies that have developed representative models of liver function addressing the metabolism of lipids (short and medium chain fatty acids) and simple sugars (fructose and glucose). Read more

Imaging metabolic pathways in the brain using magnetic resonance spectroscopy - MPhil Scholarship

Methodologies for studying in vivo metabolic pathways in the brain have the potential to significantly improve diagnosis and treatment of multiple conditions including metastatic brain cancer, neurodegenerative disease or traumatic brain injury. 13C magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging has shown significant potential for the non-invasive imaging of key metabolites in the brain.
