Our Malaysia Campus
We were invited by the Ministry of Higher Education to establish a branch campus for engineering within the EduCity development in Iskandar, Malaysia. Iskandar is the nation’s economic zone located in Johor, just minutes from Singapore. Our Malaysia Campus opened in October 2012 and offers premier undergraduate degrees in engineering. In 2016, our first group of Malaysia Campus students graduated with excellent results - they obtained 10 First Class and eight Upper Second Class MEng degrees.

Our split campus (UK and Malaysia) degree programmes offer the chance to gain a unique ‘Southampton’ education for the first two years in Malaysia combined with the final two years at a world-class research-centred university in the UK. University of Southampton Malaysia’s premier undergraduate MEng Mechanical Engineering, MEng Aeronautics & Astronautics and MEng Electrical & Electronic Engineering programmes allow students to study using some of the latest research facilities and equipment in the world and put the theory they learn into practice to deliver real results. All programmes have been approved by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM).
