The aim of this project is to capture the complex interplay of Ca2+ signalling and the cytoplasmic spasms in eggs and make advances that could inform future experiments and ultimately clinical practice.
The goal of the project will be to develop a least squares PGD mimetic spectral element method for the Stokes problem. There will be theoretical and computational aspects to this strand of the research.
Thin-shell encapsulated microbubbles (EMBs) are gas-filled microbubbles encased in a stiff albumin or flexible lipid shell. They have been shown to improve the performance of biomedical procedures such as ultrasound contrast imaging, targeted drug delivery and sonoporation.
