This project comprises fieldwork on large predators and their prey, as well as on mesocarnivores and vegetation structure in Polesia (Belarus, Ukraine), a region which is home to large expanses of forest, mires and Europe’s last natural floodplain, the UNESCO World Natural Heritage areas of Bialowieza Primeval Forest (Belarus) and the primeval beech forests of the Carpathian Mountains (Ukraine).
