We are seeking a highly motivated PhD student to be part of a group to investigate the disease and stress genomics of the New Zealand snapper (Chrysophrys auratus) and trevally (Pseudocaranx georgianus).
The field of chemical synthesis is under constant pressure to produce molecules in a timely, economical and sustainable fashion. In this project we will demonstrate that valuable heterocyclic molecules can be efficiently synthesized in an environmentally friendly manner by simply using electric current.
New Zealand has the third highest rates of obesity in the world. Despite decades of effort to reduce these rates, they continue to rise, particularly in young women and especially amongst Māori and Pacific.
