Applications are invited for a 3-year full time or 5 year part time /self-funded PhD Studentship starting February 2019. Maternal and child mental health is a global public health priority (WHO 2013, WHO 2018).
A successful candidate will be supported in statistical analyses of large dental datasets. Analyses are likely to include. 1) Cross sectional data analyses using regression and structural equation modelling.
A PhD project with Prof Thomas will focus on the epidemiology of chronic disease. For example delineating the inter relationships between determinants of chronic disease such as lifestyle and biochemical parameters and their impact on the incidence of disease outcomes or in physical or cognitive decline.
