Background to the project. Maximising retainment is a major focus of trial design and conduct and identifying strategies to improve trial retention has been identified as an important research priority.
Background. The South West Peninsula of Devon and Cornwall comprises a population that is older than the national average and includes deprived rural and coastal communities, with various challenges that impact healthcare access and health research opportunity.
Background to the project. Ordinal outcome data are frequently reported in clinical trials, where participants’ outcomes are “rated” on ordered categorical scales.
Vector-borne Diseases (VBDs) are a major source of global morbidity and mortality. Interventions for many VBDs are based on control of mosquito populations.
Background. Good practice statistical analysis methods for assessing potential benefits (often described as “efficacy” or primary and secondary outcomes) are well established.
