Are you interested in doing computational research on a medically relevant problem? Join our graduate programme in Berlin, Computational Methods in Oncology: Towards Personalized Therapies in Cancer“ and join Berlin’s large and thriving community of computational biology.

Within this graduate programme, research groups of the Charité, the Humboldt University Berlin, the Max Delbrück Center and the Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics work together to train the next generation of researchers to become experts in computational biology and gain an expert understanding of cancer biology and its translational aspects. Research focusses on computational methods, such as modelling, data integration, and single cell analysis methods, to address problems related to personalized and advanced therapies, tumour heterogeneity and therapy resistance.

We are looking for outstanding candidates with a Masters degree and a computational background that have a strong passion for developing and applying computational methods important for cancer research. You either have a degree in areas of computer sciences, physics or mathematics and you ideally had contact with life sciences, or you have a degree in the life sciences and have a strong interest in computing or mathematics. Ph.D. positions are at competitive salary levels (75% E13) and initially for three years.
