AHRC Funded Studentships in College of Business, Arts & Social Sciences via the TECHNE2 Doctoral Training Partnership

Brunel University London is part of a consortium of universities in London and the southeast that form a national Doctoral Training Partnership (DTP) focusing on the arts and humanities disciplines.

TECHNE is one of ten Doctoral Training Partnerships receiving funding from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) as part of their commitment to supporting postgraduate-level research into the arts and humanities disciplines.

TECHNE2 graduate students will benefit from a multidisciplinary research culture that is self-reflexive and collegial in which peer learning and networking is highly valued.

Students will benefit from an opportunity to co-produce training and development opportunities fit for the future of the PhD beyond 2030:

  • access to staff expertise from a wide-range of universities;
  • a commitment to and expertise in supporting diverse post-doctoral careers;
  • proven track record of harmonious and efficient management and support of all aspects of the student’s DTP experience;
  • strong Partner opportunities, including artist/writer residencies and named Partner fellowships.

We are pleased to invite applications for studentships in the following subject areas:

  • Languages and Literature

Awards for Home/International include UK tuition fees and provide a stipend grant at the UKRI rate (with London weighting, currently £18062 in 2022/23, UKRI funding will not cover international fees set by universities. BUL will be covering the difference for any successful international students. Please see the UKRI website for further details.
