Apply now for our fully funded PhD scholarships in Singapore at the Institute for Digital Molecular Analytics & Science (IDMxS)

IDMxS is currently offering fully funded PhD scholarships to outstanding students to study in Singapore at Nanyang Technological University (NTU), consistently ranked among the top 30 Universities in the World.

We are inviting students with a strong, diverse background in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics to apply for our PhD Interdisciplinary Graduate Programme (IGP) in digital molecular analytics.

IDMxS is a recently established $160 million Research Centre of Excellence located in NTU, Singapore. We aim to interface the biological world with information technology and data sciences by developing integrated systems that can monitor disease threats, population health (for health promotion, preventative healthcare, early diagnosis, and intervention), food safety, the environment, and potential security threats.

We have a fully integrated open-lab philosophy, with state-of-the-art equipment and revolutionary infrastructure, and are well positioned to grow as a global leader, recruiting and developing talent at all levels.

IGP-IDMxS PhD Programme

The IGP-IDMxS is a fully funded 4-year PhD programme in IDMxS@NTU that seeks to nurture outstanding students with a passion for interdisciplinary research across areas in Molecular Analytics, Sensor Technology, Data Science, and Interfacial Chemistry. Our research focuses on:

  • Innovations in modular detection that enable biomolecular recognition to be integrated with portable devices.
  • Developing new methods and devices to convert optically detectable chemical changes into digital signals.
  • Innovations in data analysis strategies to enhance information extraction, allowing high levels of accuracy in detection outcomes.
  • Developing biomedical application prototypes to pave the way for digital molecular analysis in next-level generation diagnostics.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with our dedicated researchers at IDMxS, faculty from colleges and institutes across NTU, and other collaborators from universities such as NUS. Students will also receive specialised training in interdisciplinary and collaborative sciences. We welcome highly motivated candidates with diverse science, technology, engineering, and mathematics backgrounds to join our PhD programme.
