Bioscience for Sustainable Consumer Products Collaborative Training Partnership (BiSCoP CTP)

P&G is delighted to announce a new BBSRC supported Collaborative Training Partnership for 2023, partnering with Durham, Northumbria and Newcastle Universities, and biotech company Prozomix to provide eleven fully funded PhD studentships.

About

This is an exciting opportunity to join the second-cohort of our CTP, an inclusive, collaborative environment for high quality doctoral training, in the following areas:

Bioscience for Sustainable Consumer Products Collaborative Training Partnership (BiSCoP CTP)

These studentships involve a 4-year research training programme with modules in hands-on Lean Innovation, Intellectual Property, an Accredited Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice (a Durham University mini-MBA), at least a 3-month industrial placement (P&G UK or USA innovation centre or Prozomix UK) and other events.

Funding

UKRI-aligned stipend, approved host University fees and a research budget.

Entry requirements

  • Academic excellence of the proposed student i.e. 2:1 (or equivalent GPA from non-UK universities [preference for 1st class honours]); or a Masters (preference for Merit or above).
  • Appropriate IELTS or equivalent score, if required.
  • Applicants cannot apply for this funding if currently engaged in Doctoral study.

  • Current CV: [maximum 2 pages] – this needs to include qualifications & two references.
  • A personal statement (maximum 500 words).
  • A completed BISCOP CTP Equal Opportunities Monitoring form
  • A cover note indicating which project within the CTP you are applying for as their first choice and whether interested in any of the other projects.

Name all the documents with your ‘Name and Type of Form’ e.g., Joe Bloggs CV, Joe Bloggs Personal Statement.
