Call for Applications: Doctoral Program
“Ion Channels and Transporters as Molecular Drug Targets” (MolTag)

3 year PhD program starting 2019
A limited number of PhD positions is available
DEADLINE for Applications: March 4th 2019

A consortium of four Austrian Research institutions (University of Vienna, Medical University of Vienna, Vienna University of Technology and the Institute of Science and Technology Austria at Klosterneuburg) announces its next call for application for PhD positions in the fields of Molecular Pharmaceutical Sciences; Chemical Synthesis and Computational Chemistry/Pharmacoinformatics; Neurobiology.

Call for Applications: Doctoral Program “Ion Channels and Transporters as Molecular Drug Targets” (MolTag)

Our vision is to understand the mechanisms by which ion channels, ionotropic receptors and neurotransmitter transporters are modulated by small molecules (drugs), natural products and their derivatives.

The PhD/doctoral program comprise several collaborative projects in three main research themes:

  • Molecular basis of ligand channel/transporter interaction
  • Discovery of tool compounds and photoswitchable ligands
  • Human pluripotent stem cells for disease modeling and drug development

For a more detailed description of projects offered by the MolTag consortium please look at the MolTag Website.
