The Department of Biochemistry conducts interdisciplinary research applying cutting-edge techniques in bionanotechnology, biophysics, computational biology, microscopy, molecular biology, structural biology and systems biology to a broad range of fields including cell biology, chromosome biology, drug discovery, epigenetics, host-pathogen interactions, membrane proteins, ion channels and transporters, RNA biology and stem cells.

Talented and motivated students passionate about doing research are invited to apply. Applicants should hold or expect to gain a first/upper second class honours degree or equivalent and should ideally have research experience (either as part of or outside of a university degree course).
