The Universities of Bristol and Bath offer a unique interdisciplinary EPSRC centre for doctoral training (CDT) in Cyber Security to tackle trust, identity, privacy and security (TIPS) issues in the large-scale, hyper-connected infrastructures of the present and the future.
Students gain hands-on experience of realistic large-scale infrastructures in our state-of-the-art critical infrastructure and Internet of Things testbed - one of the few facilities of its kind internationally. Industrial placements and masterclasses delivered by leading academic and industry figures are offered to students.
We are seeking to recruit students from a range of disciplinary backgrounds including (but not limited to): computer science, psychology, management, electrical and electronics engineering, civil engineering, criminology and social sciences. The most critical requirement is a passion for cyber security and the desire to make our connected world secure and hence safe.
If you have or expect to gain at least a 2.1, are willing to work across disciplinary boundaries and inform your research from different perspectives, we offer fully funded studentships for 4 years (£18,000 tax free stipend per year, fees and £2500 per year for related travel).
