EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Algebra, Geometry and Quantum Fields (AGQ)

We are pleased to announce that applications are now being accepted for the EPSRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Algebra, Geometry, and Quantum Fields (AGQ), a four year fully funded PhD programme.
About the Programme
The AGQ Centre for Doctoral Training is a collaborative initiative between Heriot-Watt University, the University of Edinburgh, and the University of Glasgow, with a scientific focus on advanced training and research in Algebra, Geometry, and Quantum Fields. Alongside this focus, students learn scientific communication, computing, ethics, and industry skills, empowering them to become leaders in science, industry and wider society.

Important Dates
- Application Deadline: December 16th (for full consideration; applications will be processed on a rolling basis thereafter), letters of reference by January 6th.
- PhD Start Date: September 2025
