Diversity is the driving force behind groundbreaking innovation.
Are you keen to make a difference with your STEM knowledge?
Are you considering postgraduate research but are looking for something different?
DiveIn invites you to break barriers and redefine what is possible.
DiveIn CDT is a new doctoral training opportunity at the University of Glasgow, focused on bringing together diverse teams to tackle interdisciplinary, mission-driven challenges at the forefront of research.
We prioritise diversity, creating an inclusive space for varied talents to produce transformative interdisciplinary research, bringing together world-changing experts from various fields to tackle complex problems and ensuring that our research is impactful and aligned with broader societal goals.
During the first 4 months, the programme facilitates the matching of students with our pool of supervisors and the co-creation of projects with a series of events, with input from industry and external partners. Explore the vibrant community at the University of Glasgow, discover world-leading research, and connect with potential supervisors and interdisciplinary projects that align with your passions at our online Catalogue of Possibilities.
During the 4-year PhD, students will take part in a bespoke training programme, supported with networking events and tailored coaching, and take advantage of the research and placement opportunities provided by our wide range of external partners.
We offer fully funded studentships, which cover tuition fees and research and training support, with the provision of an enhanced stipend (£4k per year over the recommended UKRI rate), aiming to remove financial barriers and open doors to a PhD journey for all. Part-time study options are also available.
Step into innovation in the DiveIn’s Hub, the cutting-edge Mazumdar-Shaw Advanced Research Centre (ARC). More than just a building, it’s a catalyst for collaboration, fostering teamwork and innovation across sectors and disciplines.
The ARC houses DiveIn’s vibrant CDT Village, offering bespoke spaces for study, collaboration, and socializing.
Dive into your research journey in a space designed for excellence and community.
