Our CDT will create a new generation of UK power electronics and electric drives specialists and leaders, who will ensure that the revolution of moving away from harmful fossil fuel propulsion progresses rapidly and successfully.
The CDT in Power Electronics for Sustainable Electric Propulsion (PESEP) is a joint venture between Newcastle University and the University of Nottingham. The CDT is supported by more than 20 industrial partners and 7 networks.

All students will spend the first semester in Newcastle and the second semester in Nottingham. After the second semester students will either be placed at one university and/or at the industrial partner’s site depending on the project.

The award is available to UK/EU applicants only. Depending on how you meet the EPSRC’s eligibility criteria, you may be entitled to a full or a partial award.
