ESG focused funding with Marshall Wace
In July 2020 Marshall Wace launched our first ESG fund. The fund has an environmental focus and we are looking to partner with doctoral-level students to further our data and engagement work. The aim is to improve our investment processes and to maximise our impact. There are many areas of interest to us in the environmental space including biodiversity risk, commodities supply chains, fish farming, and the renewable energy sector’s impact on fish, birds and marine habitats as a few examples. This list is not comprehensive, however, and we would be interested to hear from interested candidates whose work looks at:
- Environmental ESG data, in particular that with a focus on biodiversity and water
- Nature-related impact screening i.e. the impact of particular industry sectors (and their supply chains) on nature and wildlife.
- Water scarcity (and its link to corporates) and water risk (for companies and sectors).
We will pay the individual for conducting the research and there is the possibility of full-time roles in the future.
To apply please submit via the link below a short cover letter which sets out your area of expertise as well as topics that you would be interested researching for us.
